The troposphere ends abruptly at the tropopause, which appears in the image as the sharp boundary between the orange- and blue- colored atmosphere. The silvery-blue noctilucent clouds extend far above the Earth's troposphere.

Our home planet, Earth, naturally has these interesting phenomena every now and then, like the rare sightings of electric blue clouds and the occasional appearance of a supermoon.

As such, sky watching has become an actual hobby for some. Most call themselves amateur astronomers.

Thankfully, June welcomes these enthusiasts with exciting sightings to be excited about this month.

Electric Blue Clouds are Back

As per a news story by MSN, the emergence of the summer season also marks the return of a unique phenomenon, which rarely appears in the skies.

To be more precise, so-called noctilucent clouds are inches away from making their much-awaited appearance again. It is to note that some aptly refer to it as "electric blue clouds."

What's interesting about this summer phenomenon is that these clouds actually form themselves 50 miles away from the home planets of human beings. It is significantly far from the distance of the typical clouds we get to see on a daily basis, which goes roughly 10 miles from the atmosphere of the Earth.

Electric Blue Clouds: How to View

The Noctillucant clouds give folks looking up from the Northern Hemisphere a chance to take a look at it or take photos using the next-gen cameras of your smartphone.

It should appear for about two hours before the sun rises. According to a recent report by Patch.com, the unique summer clouds should be seen at around 5:13 am on June 21.

So, it would be best to mark both the date and time on your calendar app to avoid missing the astronomical summer phenomenon.

But, if you've missed it during the summertime, it shows up again in another location, the Southern Hemisphere, around the end of the year, either during December or January.

Unfortunately, this requires viewers to go to the other side of the world. It includes countries like Australia and Colombia, to name a few, as well as the African region. If you are based in countries like the United States, this June would be the time to gaze at the unique clouds.
