According to a report by Bloomberg and Mark Gurman, Apple is focusing on expanding the MacBook lineup to new sizes in 2023, and it will bring more options for the public to purchase. The new sizes would come for a speculated regular MacBook, and the MacBook Air with bigger screens and bodies, allowing people to have their desired size.

It seems that Apple will complete the sizes for its laptop production from 12 inches down to 15 inches, with one size option per number. Of course, it would release with the M-series chip that comes standard to all MacBooks since the dawn of the M1 back in 2020.

MacBook's sizes are currently 13 inches, 14 inches, and 16-inches, respectively.

MacBook Air 15-Inch, 12-Inch MacBook Coming?

According to Mac Rumors, Gurman's report explained that there would be an upcoming MacBook with 12 inches of the screen only, focusing on the 2012 release of the device that did not see a follow-up after. Additionally, a new size for the MacBook Air will bring a larger screen with 15 inches now, two inches more than its predecessor.

MacBook and its Development

Apple's WWDC is nearing its end, but the company already released its top products on the first day of the event which brought many advancements on their end. There was a hardware release from the company, focusing on the MacBook Air's 2022 refresh that also brings the M2 Silicon chip that debuts the same 5-nm architecture on its development.

The year 2021 saw a MacBook Pro that refreshes with a new M1 Max chip, focusing on a more significant performance compared to the 2020 M1. However, the most massive change here is not its chip upgrade, but its structure that brought a 14-inch body that brings back the ports and MagSafe for the MacBook since Apple removed it in 2015.

The new sizes of MacBook were part of the past rumors of the company already, and it focuses on different options to choose from its laptop releases with processing power similar to each other. Now, there are rumors again for a new lineup that will come in 2023, and it is after Apple's recent announcement of the new MacBook Air.
