Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed to the world what he thinks to be the most ambitious phase of Apple's goods in its history. According to Gurman, the majority of these changes are on their way.

Four iPhone 14 variants, three Apple Watch varieties, multiple Macs with M2 and M3 CPUs, the company's first mixed-reality headset, low- and high-end iPads, updated AirPods Pro earphones, a new HomePod, and an enhanced Apple TV will be among the new goods.

iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro Updates

The revised lock screen is the key new feature. For the next iPhone 14 Pro model, its lock screen will come with an 'always-on' feature. The iPhone 14 Pro will also be able to display widgets that display weather, calendars, stocks, activities, and other info while the screen stays at a low brightness and frame rate. There will also be an option that prevents sensitive data from being shown on the lock screen for everybody to view.

A much-improved front-facing camera, a new rear-camera system with a 48-megapixel sensor, lower bezels, a speedier A16 CPU, and a redesigned notch with a pill-shaped cutout for Face ID and a hole punch for the camera are among the other new iPhone 14 Pro features.

This year's main iPhone story will be the Pro phones, codenamed D73 and D74, with the non-Pro iPhone 14 models-D27 and D28 generating less enthusiasm. The lower-end phones will have the same A15 processor as the iPhone 13, but the 5.4-inch mini will be replaced with a 6.7-inch variant.

All of this year's new iPhones will continue to utilize Lightning to charge the battery, although a switch to USB-C may occur in 2023. Speaking of USB-C, a new low-end iPad with an A14 CPU and 5G is expected this autumn, as first reported by 9to5Mac, featuring a more powerful connection.

Gurman also stated that Apple might introduce new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad models with M2 CPUs later this year that will operate with Stage Manager. J617 and J620 are their code names. It might potentially have a larger display-between 14 and 15 inches in the next year or two.

MacBook Updates: New M2 Chips for Air and Pro Models, M3 Upcoming

The new M2 processor, which is included in the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro unveiled at WWDC and optimized for macOS Ventura, is also at the heart of numerous additional devices in the works. These are expected to follow considerably faster than the M1-based Macs did.

An M2 processor might possibly be found in Apple's mixed-reality headset. According to Gurman, the device's most recent internal iterations include the basic M2 processor and 16 gigabytes of RAM. There were several software-related indications concerning the realityOS operating system and its characteristics.

Apple is also working on the M2's replacement, the M3, and plans to utilize it as early as next year with improvements to the 13-inch MacBook Air code-named J513, a 15-inch MacBook Air code-named J515, a new iMac codenamed J433, and maybe a 12-inch laptop that is still in early development.

HomePod Update Might Come Around Later

According to Gurman, a new HomePod is unlikely to emerge until next year. However, the next Apple TV, codenamed J255, is being developed with an A14 CPU and an extra gigabyte of RAM.

The HomePod, code-named B620, on the other hand, will use the same S8 processor as the watches and will be more similar to the original HomePod in terms of size and audio performance than a new HomePod tiny. The new HomePod will include an upgraded display on top and multi-touch capability.
