The N64 puzzle classic is expected to return soon, and with it, the company is adding Pokémon Puzzle League to the Switch Online Expansion Pack service. Ever since Pokémon Snap, fans have been wondering what's next to the N64 digital library, and now, it's here.

Nintendo is Adding the Pokémon Puzzle League to the Digital Library

According to the story by Nintendo Life, it seems that Nintendo won't be providing a future schedule regarding what they plan to bring on new additions. The surprise announcement regarding the addition of the Pokémon Puzzle League will bring a game that was originally released back in 2000 on the Nintendo 64.

A video of the game has been released on YouTube showing what the game might actually look like with the Pokémon Puzzle League addition. Gamers will be able to relive the classic game ever since it was initially released in 2000.

Players Can Choose to Join Ash, Misty, Brock, and More

A description of the game indicates that players can start getting ready for a brand new type of battle where players' power and speed are as important as the strength of their Pokémon. Players will be able to join Ash, Misty, Brock, and many more characters from the animated series as they try to gather the Puzzle Village in order to gain the title of Pokémon Puzzle Master.

Nintendo of America released a tweet showing the same video noting the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch on 7/15. As seen on the Pokémon website, for players that want to look for a change of pace when it comes to regular Pokémon games, the Pokémon Puzzle League is a good alternative.

Pokémon Puzzle League Lets Players Play with Blocks Towards Their Goal

Pokémon Puzzle League is a block game where players' goal is to be able to flip colored squares in order to create rows of three or more. The game is easy to pick up and play and requires very little learning.

The game still includes a lot of strategies that can be learned to play the game faster in order to succeed. Should players want to improve their in-game skills, going to Pokémon Puzzle University will help them get hints.

Players can Try the 3D Mode for Added Challenge

Players can choose one of the different characters from the game, which includes characters like Professor Oak or even a member of Team Rocket. The game also includes a 3D mode where different blocks will fall along a particular cylindrical shape.

Users will be able to see only the front side of the cylinder, so while players are trying to knock up blocks in front of them, the back of the board could be filling up. For players that want a change of pace within the Pokémon ecosystem, the game provides an interesting alternative.
