YouTube made a mistake, and it is now in the process of bringing back the online page called "Lofi Girl," especially after serving them up with a false DMCA Copyright strike on the platform. The false accusation ended the 2-year live stream that Lofi Girl set up with the video that focuses on non-stop low-fidelity music that acts as a background for everyday needs.

YouTube is not perfect and it makes mistakes, but one of its grievous mistakes to a content creator is stopping their live stream that has been up and running for two years now. According to Lofi Girl's tweet, the false copyright claims led to stopping the live stream of multiple radios playing on the account and ended it for the listeners.

The video "lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to" now reads that it is not available on the platform.

Lofi Girl said that these are false copyright claims against the YouTube page, and it received a reply from YouTube's online account that said that it confirmed the claims and reports in their system. The company is already reinstating the videos and the account for access, and it would take 24 to 48 hours to return the streams available to the public.

A false copyright claim effectively ended Lofi Girl's 2-year stream that runs for a long-time now, without any stops already, available for the public to play at all times they want. The effect of false copyright claims and a reporting system that may be abused on YouTube is devastating for content creators, whether it be big or small, especially for those wanting to create an impact on the world.

YouTube, the DMCA, and Copyright

Some platforms enforce the DMCA, and there are those whose content creators are fighting against the proposal to pass in Congress for its massive and strict operations for the online world. Many people cheat and steal the work of others, and the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a way to protect those from theft.

YouTube is one platform where the DMCA is a significant observation, and its team, along with the autonomous systems focuses on bringing a platform where content is under review and monitoring. Despite the copyright strikes for content creators, YouTube is still allowing them to earn money for their videos and other content a strike.

However, there are also multiple false claims for YouTube regarding the DMCA and copyright strikes, with some being user errors or fake reports. In Lofi Girl's case, the content creator petitioned the copyright strike that YouTube imposed upon the channel and got a response from the company that it is reinstating the video and account back for its false claim.
