The dream of a "Fortnite" pro player went to waste when his father smashed his PC setup during the tournament.

Indeed, it's a heart-breaking scenario to think that your chance of winning a million-dollar prize in a competition is now close to zero, all because you have no gaming computer to use anymore.

However, every problem has a solution, and this story has proven that.

It's still a blessing in disguise for the "Fortnite" player. Find out why.

Just like physical sports, many people have been training hard to be the best in the field of esports. They dedicate long hours of practicing in front of their computer to learn the new meta, train their characters, and analyze their gameplay.

Some children want to be professional gamers someday; that's why they strive hard to be good players in every match they play. However, what will you do if your PC gets destroyed just because of a misunderstanding?

According to IGN, that happened to Rem, a popular gamer currently competing in the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS). This event was so prestigious that it had a $3 million prize pool to attract several pro players around the world.

As per Jake Lucky, a video content producer and a known esports personality, the whole scenario could have been avoided if it wasn't for a simple misunderstanding.

Rem's father told the gamer to visit the house of one of their relatives. Of course, since the FNCS was underway, the esports player could not shut down his PC.

"His dad gave him a couple of minutes to get off, when Rem refused, he smashed everything. He was only able to recover his 1080 TI (graphics card)," Lucky said.

Over Twitter, Rem wrote about his experience where he witnessed how his gaming PC setup got destroyed in a few minutes. Despite crushing the computer, he retrieved his 1080 TI graphics card. That's the only thing that he recovered from the junk.

According to Rem, he bought the PC by himself. He did not ask for money from his father.

'Fortnite' Player Receives a Brand-New PC

Many fans have witnessed how Rem suffered badly after the incident. As a result, some people hope that the "Fortnite" gamer will have a new PC to use for the tournament. The scenario quickly caught the attention of PowerGPU, a widely-known PC builder in the United States.

When they learned that Rem lost his computer because his dad smashed it, they did not hesitate to give him a memorable present. The custom PC maker handed Rem a fresh gaming PC which is said to have greater specs compared to his 1090 TI setup, Inside Sport reported.

It appears that some people are not yet finished commenting about the incident. Some said that Rem's father was too harsh for the "Fortnite" player.

On the other hand, others sided with Rem's father. They pointed out that Rem should have followed his father so he could avoid such an unpleasant event.
