Alleged specifications regarding NVIDIA's new GPU, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, have been revealed and somehow, they show similarities to the RTX 3090 Ti when it comes to its performance.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Released

Kopite7kimi, a leaker, noted that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti could be a beast GPU. The new graphics card matches the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, the company's existing graphics card.

GPU is Expected to Come with 48MB of L2 Cache and More

According to the story by WCCFTech, the leaker noted that new specifications will make the new graphics card look like the 4070 series which will help it benefit from higher power limits compared to its predecessors.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is expected to start utilizing the AD104 GPU core that comes with 60 SM units or 7680 cores. As noted by the previous leaks, they know that the AD104 GPU will come with 48MB of L2 cache capable of up to 160 ROPs.

New GPU is Expected to be 12x Faster in Cache Speed Compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

The performance is said to be a 25% increase in the core count which is expected to result in a 12x increase in cache compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti which comes with the GA104 GPU core.

Although the clock speeds have not yet been confirmed, considering the TSMC 4N processor, they are expecting clocks between the 2-3 GHz range. The clock speed increase comes from the fact that the company is going to make a two-node jump considering the Ampere GPUs along with Samsung 8nm node which is actually a 10nm process node that comes with a few optimizations.

NVIDIA to Skip 7nm with a 5nm Node

NVIDIA will be skipping the 7nm along with a 5nm node which is a more optimized version of the GPU. With the TSMC 16nm node Pascal, the company was able to deliver a large frequency leap and buyers will be able to expect a similar jump as well.

When it comes to the memory specs, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is expected to come with 12 GB GDDR6X capabilities that should be able to clock at 21 Gbps speeds through a 192-bit bus interface for a bandwidth of 504 GB/s.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Release Date Set in October

Although the RTX 4070 is expected to come with a 300W TBP, the RTX 4070 Ti is expected to come with a power limit that can go all the way up to 400W. This could reportedly be the power limit for certain custom designs that come with the Founder Edition roaming capable of power limits stretching 325W to 350W.

The GPU is expected to be based on the exact PG141-SKU331 PCB design. As per Video Cardz, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti could come later on in October.
