The Rotom Phone is expected to get a huge upgrade. After being introduced three years ago in the Galar region, the updated version of the "smartphone that is inhabited by a Pokemon" will finally make the jump from just one back camera to two.

Rotom Phone to Come with a Second Lens

As per Bulbapedia, the Rotom Phone is a smartphone that was inhabited by a Pokemon. According to the story by The Verge, the handset will become available very soon in the new Paldea region.

It is reportedly hard to tell what type of the second lens will become available on the phone. What can be seen as of press time is that the main lens will still be in blue while the second lens will be colored black.

Pictures Reveal What the New Rotom Phone Could Look Like

The publication noted, however, that there is still not enough information to be able to guess whether the new lens will be a telephoto lens, an ultrawide lens, or something different. In a tweet by Joe Merrick, a Pokemon Master, pictures were shown regarding the Rotom Phone and how it is getting a second camera upgrade.

Blue Light in the Middle Linked to Wireless Charging Properties

Beyond the information available, it seems like the brand new Rotom Phone is going to be a large iterative upgrade compared to the previous phone. A brand new feature is also the phone's mysterious glowing blue ring that can be found in the middle of the device.

As per the article by The Verge, they are asking whether the blue light in the middle could be for wireless charging. This is because of the fact that the location of the blue ring is where people could expect to have a wireless charging coil.

Phone Might Still Not be Handy for Player's Pockets

They did note, however, that they do not remember an instance where they had to charge the Rotom Phone in galar. It is, however, nice to see that wireless charging could be an option for players while they could be at one of Paldea's trainer schools.

The article notes, however, that disappointedly, the large points located at the top and the bottom of the Rotom Phone have still remained for the next generation. This means that it might not be that comfortable to be able to fit into the player's pockets.

No word Regarding 5G Support for the Rotom Phone

In Paldea, however, since backpacks are commonly used, players will still not have a hard time bringing their Rotom Phone around. As per the article, there is also no word regarding 5G support.

In additional news, the company that designed the Rotom Phone have confirmed in a recently published press release that the Pokedex as well as a map will yet again load on the player's device. Users will have to wait for the drop of the new Rotom Phone, however, on November 18.
