"Hogwarts Legacy" has been delayed in early 2023, pushing the much-anticipated release of the Harry Potter prequel game on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles to a later date.
The publisher of the upcoming Harry Potter game, Warner Bros., confirmed that its debut on Nintendo Switch has also been delayed. But the specific release date has yet to be given away.

And as such, some might wonder why Hogwarts Legacy got delayed again. Thankfully, Warner Bros. explained the reason behind it to its fans as it gave away its new release date.
'Hogwarts Legacy' Delayed to 2023
As per the latest news story by The Verge, the official Twitter account of "Hogwarts Legacy" has confirmed that the upcoming Harry Potter prequel gaming title has moved to a later date.
It is worth noting that the latest delay until 2023 is the second one that "Hogwarts Legacy" faced. The first one was in early 2021, wherein its release date has been pushed until 2022.
Warner Bros. announced last year that it would be released in 2022 instead of 2021, explaining that the game still needs time before its much-awaited debut.
However, the publisher did not give any specific release date for Hogwarts Legacy during that time. Instead, it was only estimated that it would see the light of day in late 2022.
But now that we are in the second half of the year, the publisher of the Harry Potter prequel game says it would not release until February next year.

“Hogwarts Legacy” is coming to Nintendo Switch as well besides the Xbox, PS4, PS5, and PC.
All that said, "Hogwarts Legacy" is coming to PlayStation consoles, such as PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PCs on Feb. 10, 2023.
Meanwhile, its official release date for Nintendo Switch consoles would be announced later on, the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account notes.
Why is the 'Hogwarts Legacy' Release Date Moved?
According to a recent report by Push Square, the delay might be somewhat disappointing for its fans anticipating its much-awaited release.
But it is a welcome assurance that it now has a specific release rather than a vague estimated timeline.
Push Square further reports that Warner Bros. also explained why the Harry Potter-themed game is facing another delay.
