People wait in line for a chance to sample new games for Nintendo Switch at the 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3, opening in Los Angeles, California on June 11, 2019.

A recent tweet from Nintendo of America confirms that the classical N64 game is arriving on Nintendo Switch.

Members of the Expansion Pack of Switch Online could get their hands on the jet ski title starting August 19.

Wave Race 64

According to a recent report by Shack News, the N64 game, "Wave Race," first got its shimmer of the spotlight way back in November 1996 when it debuted in North America.

During its release on the retro Nintendo 64 gaming console, the jet ski game was well received by its players and various video game critics back then.

The 1996 game never lost its charm even as decades have already passed since it launched to N64 users.

In fact, Shack News highlights in its report that the jet ski game is still something worth playing today.

The water physics and competitive racing would still get gamers hooked these days. Not to mention that the nostalgic vibe it gives brings back its players to the funky 90s era.

But this time, Switch gamers are in for a treat as they could experience the timeless jet ski adventure as long as they subscribed to the Expansion Pack of Switch Online.

Switch Online + Expansion Pack

The subscription service of Nintendo, Switch Online, offers an Expansion Pack option, which brings numerous classical games from N64 and Mega Drive.

It is on top of the NES and SNES titles that the Switch Online service readily offers its users, according to a report by Games Radar.

The Expansion Pack also brings various downloadable content or DLC for various iconic games, such as "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," "Splatoon 2," and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe."

But despite all these, Nintendo reveals that Switch Online memberships are falling off.

The game publisher and console maker argues that the slowdown comes as more people now own multiple Switch consoles.

Nintendo admits during its recent financial report that "growth in the number of members has become more moderate."
