Is Nintendo's Xbox, PlayStation Compatible Controller Releasing Soon?

While the ex-boss of Nintendo of America has disclosed that a universal controller was in the works three years ago, he is unsure whether it is still in progress.

According to a recent report by Game Spot, File-Aime admits that he is not privy to the development of the gaming controller that they started working on three years ago.

However, he shares that he still hopes the project that seeks to produce a controller that works on various platforms is still ongoing.

The retired exec states that his "hope is that controller - and the ability for that controller to connect with all of the various systems - is launched."

He further adds that wishes that it would be "shared with consumers as quickly as possible."

It is worth noting that the Japanese tech firm has yet to officially announce that it is releasing a controller that works with its rival gaming platforms.
