If you lost or misplaced your Apple Watch, don't panic. You can track it down and get it back through the features built-in on the device.

What Are The Features You Can Use To Find Your Apple Watch?

Find My

When you purchase an Apple Watch, it is paired with your iPhone, so you can easily navigate the device through your smartphone.

So if your Apple Watch is missing, you can trace it using your iPhone via a feature called "Find My."

To set up "Find My" on your iPhone, just go to "Settings" and tap your name at the top. Scroll to "Find My" and turn on "Find My iPhone." Next, turn on "Enable Offline Finding," then activate "Send Last Location."

By turning on "Find My" on your iPhone, it will automatically activate the same feature on your Apple Watch.

Once the feature has been activated, launch the "Find My" app on your iPhone and tap on "Devices." Scroll to your Apple Watch in the list that pops up and tap that.

The app will display a screen map showing your Apple Watch's location

If your Apple Watch's battery ran out, the "Find My" app can't show you exactly where the device is, but it will show you where it was the last time it could be located.

Using iCloud

If you don't have your iPhone with you, you can still pull up the "Find My" map through iCloud.

According to Apple, all you need to do is to go to iCloud and sign in using your Apple ID.

Next, click on "Find iPhone" and select "Devices." Scroll through the list and select your Apple Watch to see the map.

Play Sound

If you've left your Apple Watch in a familiar place, like your home or office, then you can see it on the map and easily retrieve it.

But if you're in the place where you left your device but still can't find it, then you can use "Find My" to get your Apple Watch to play a sound, according to HowtoGeek.

Since the device is small and its speakers are smaller, you need to be close enough to it before you can hear the sound. Nonetheless, you can keep playing the sound until you spot your Apple Watch.

When you click on "Play Sound" on iCloud or the "Find My" app, not only does it play a loud chime that helps you locate the device, but it also displays a message on the Apple Watch, and you will also get an email notification that the sound feature on the "Find My" app was used.

Lost Mode Feature

If you still can't find your Apple Watch, you can put it in Lost Mode.

According to Apple Insider., Lost Mode allows you to send a message that gets displayed on the Watch's screen so that anyone who finds it will know how to contact you.

To activate this feature, just go to "Find My" and tap "Mark as Lost." You can also do this on iCloud by clicking "Lost Mode."

If Your Apple Watch Doesn't Appear on the Map

According to Android Authority, the "Find My" feature is the only way that you can track or locate a lost or missing Apple Watch.

If the feature is not enabled on your device before it goes missing, there is no other Apple service that can find, track, or even flag the device for you.

However, you can still protect your personal data by placing your Apple Watch in Lost Mode. When it is in Lost Mode, the passcode is required before you can turn off "Find My" and pair it with another iPhone or erase the data in your Watch.

You can also change your Apple ID password to prevent anyone from accessing your iCloud information.
