Just when some fans thought that it would be impossible to mount returns of post-New 52 DC Comics, they just pop around in front of our very eyes. Comics company DC has long been teasing the comeback of comics titles Justice Society of America and Stargirl, and here they are now.

According to a recent report from Gizmodo, the comics company has been in the works at reviving the said two titles for other media for some time now. CW, the American television channel home to DC titles like, "The Flash", "Batwoman", "Supergirl", and more, recently featured a version of the "Justice Society of America" in an edition of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." The same show also featured a teen version of Stargirl.

Expanded Media Push to Pave Way for 'Justice Society,' 'Stargirl' Comics Return

By far, the team's strongest push will come from the "Black Adam" movie set to be released in October. This new movie will bring the team to life so that Dwayne Johnson may forge a shaky alliance with them before crushing them in the movie. Thus, the timing is just right for DC's first superteam to return to its first platform in ages.

BleedingCool is among the first to spot the planned relaunch of DC Comics titles "Justice Society of America" and "Stargirl". According to them, the long-awaited Batman/Joker comic by Marc Silvestri is also planned to be eventually released in November by DC Comics, who also relaunches the Justice Society of America and Stargirl with Geoff Johns, as well as WildCATS and Wildstorm.

A JSA Comics Return Is Now at Hand Despite Supposed New 52 Deletion

Its creators Geoff Johns and Gary Frank have been teasing the rerun of the JSA comics series way back in 2016 when they included the Justice Society as a comics back cover to hint at the possibility of a comeback. They even mentioned the future arrival of the team at DC Rebirth #1. On the back cover of the 2016 April Solicits, we can see the Justice Society trapped inside an hourglass. Also written were inscriptions saying, "It all starts here!"

The New 52 is a relaunch of DC Comics that was first revealed in 2011. This supposed revamp of the mainstream DC universe canceled all existing titles at the time to make way for the debut of 52 new series in the Sept of 2011. Among the titles wiped out by this total brand overhaul was the "Justice Society of America", the first version of the team we know now as "Justice League."

The Justice Society of America is the eighties version of the Justice League we know today. Except that Superman here is in an all-red trunk and Cyborg is with this team.

The Society and Stargirl will make its relaunch to mainstream DC Comics on November 8 via DC's "New Golden Age" which is said to be a one-shot title. This future release will be featuring art from Steve Lieber, Jerry Ordway, and Diego Olortegui.
