Fortnite virtual concerts are starting to become a big business for entertainment companies and individual artists. In the past, the online battle royale game has partnered with popstar sensation Ariana Grande for her 'The Rift Tour' Fortnite concert.

Furthermore, Epic Games has also featured the likes of Travis Scott, Marshmello, Diplo, and J Balvin to have their own collaboration event with Fortnite.

As for Fortnite's convergence with the metaverse, gaming content creators have already utilized the game's creative mode to build platforms like virtual sports hubs and even concert stages.

Recent reports tell us that American mass media corporation iHeartMedia is planning to host just another metaverse concert in the online shooter game.

iHeartMedia Is Eyeing to Host Metaverse Concerts in Fortnite

In an effort to target younger audiences and expand its marketing efforts into the metaverse, iHeartMedia has created iHeartLand, its first virtual environment on Fortnite.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, iHeart first announced its plans of venturing into online games metaverse platforms back in January.

Initially, the media company eyed to build its virtual world on the online game platform Roblox to unfurl its Web3 marketing strategy. Last Aug 24, iHeartMedia instead first unveiled iHeartLand, their first metaverse outlet in Fortnite.

The said Fortnite virtual world is created by game developer Atlas Creative. This group of Fortnite creative mode artists is also the group behind Fortnite virtual worlds of known brands and organizations LG, Hulu, NBA, Time, and many more.

iHeartLand features multiple mini-games, the main stage for future virtual performances, and a recording studio resembling their real-life headquarters in New York City.

It is still unclear what the purpose of the recording studio will be. Perhaps famous artists would record their songs there or would share some commentary. I mean, anything could happen in Fortnite.

A report from The Verge tells us that the main stage called The State Farm Park stage features a large screen for watching performances, a red carpet, and a space for Fortnite vendors to sell in-game items and emotes.

The same report from The Verge shares that twenty events are currently in the iHeartLand lineup. The first one to be launched is a prerecorded concert by Charlie Puth.

A Prerecorded Charlie Puth Concert Is Coming to iHeartLand on Sept. 9

iHeartLand will be featuring a prerecorded Charlie Puth concert on Sept 9. The said concert will be unveiling new music from the "Cheating On You" singer. These new songs are said to be part of Puth's upcoming album.

Also, the event features a trivia game hosted by Charlie Puth himself. On Oct. 7, the singer will be holding an album release party that will be screened at the iHeartLand virtual event grounds.

Unlike past Fortnite concerts by artists Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, this virtual event by iHeartMedia is not sponsored or even endorsed by Epic Games.
