Netflix's ad-supported plan price, which is supposed to be its cheapest offering once it debuts, is reportedly as low as $7 per month in the United States.

The top brass of the giant streaming service has recently confirmed that it is looking to introduce a new ad-supported plan. And it would be relatively cheaper than what it currently offers its customers, giving them an option when they are on a budget.

This time, we now have an idea of how much this upcoming tier would actually cost once it is available.

Netflix Ad-Supported Plan

As per the latest news from The Verge, the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Netflix, such as Ted Sarandos and Reed Hastings, have announced that they have decided to start offering a new plan, which includes ads, to bring an all-new cheaper option.

As early as April, the co-CEO Hastings has already disclosed that they are open to considering working on an ad-supported plan. The Netflix boss further revealed that it comes despite years of resistance.

And this June, the co-CEO of the renowned streamer Sarandos has officially confirmed that they are gearing up to launch a new ad plan.

How Much is Netflix with Ads Priced?

All that said, the new ad tier of Netflix gets a rough estimate of its pricing. As per the news report by Bloomberg, it should be priced at around $7 to $9 and would support up to 480p resolution.

It would be slightly cheaper than the standard plan. But for top-tier users, it brings significant savings down the line.

Netflix Plans

According to a recent report by Mac Rumors, Netflix currently offers various tiers of monthly plans starting from $9.99 to $19.99 per month.

Currently, the Netflix standard plan costs $9.99. But the biggest catch for this tier is that it only offers up to 480p streaming - perhaps best for watching sitcoms on the go.

If you are seeking a plan that supports at least 1080p, you'll have to spend about $15.49 per month for the mid-tier plan. It would be suitable for folks watching straight from their laptops or having lower-resolution TVs in their bedrooms.

The most expensive plan, $19.99 per month, already brings a 4K streaming experience to its users.

It is worth noting that the three plans, such as the $9.99 standard, $15.49 1080p resolution, and the $19.99 4K streaming, only vary in the resolution that they offer. There are no limitations in access to the library of shows and movies nor are there any annoying ads.

But soon enough, the giant streamer is working to introduce a cheaper ad-supported tier, which comes with some limitations.
