Dummy models of Apple's highly-anticipated iPhone 14 Pro in the rumored purple and blue colors have been spread online, according to a report by HypeBeast on Monday, Aug. 29.

The dummy phones were reportedly leaked in Asia and feature the standard gold, graphite, and silver hues that have long been associated with the iPhone series and the dark purple and blue variations.

The antenna bands of the gold and purple models also contrast with white, a design choice not previously found in previous iPhone models.

The iPhone 14 Pro's range of color possibilities, including new blue and purple finishes, are purportedly shown by a wave of dummy devices that originated in Asia ahead of the anticipated presentation of the iPhone 14 lineup at Apple's September 7 event. This screenshot features someone holding the new iPhone dummy, which was first shared on Weibo.

Apple's Purple Rain

According to MacRumors, there is a significant chance that Apple will release a purple iPhone 14 Pro because the purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini received positive customer reviews.

Additionally, Apple has previously introduced its purple versions of the fifth-generation iPad Air, sixth-generation iPad Mini, and 24-inch iMac.

MacRumors claims that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will start with the same amount of color options as their predecessors, excluding mid-cycle color additions such as Green and Alpine Green for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.

The iPhone 14 series is anticipated to be unveiled by Apple on Sept. 7.

What The Rumors and Leaks Say So Far

In a tweet, Mark Gurman stated that the iPhone 14 would go on sale and be accessible in its official stores and retail partners by September 16, nine days after the September 7 Fall Event.

Since the Cupertino giant has not provided any confirmations regarding the impending event, the renowned analyst's speculation still remains as nothing but a rumor.

The event is scheduled to take place in early September, which is close to the dates of the company's 2021 September Fall event, according to Gurman's report published on Bloomberg.

Dan Ives, a well-known WedBush Securities analyst, said that he expects the new iPhone 14 lineup's prices will increase by $100.

"We believe a $100 price increase on the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max is likely in store given component price increases as well as added functionality on this new release," he said via MacRumors.

The next-generation iOS device could cost users the following prices if his predictions are true:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max ($1,199)
  • iPhone 14 Pro ($1,009)
  • iPhone 14 ($799)
