Oppo Announced It was Looking for Alpha Testers for Its Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G Before ColorOS Software Launch
According to the story by Gizmo China, the company already announced that it was looking for alpha testers for the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G even before its ColorOS software will debut in China on August 30.
The ColorOS 13 was first available in the alpha/beta form for just four devices. The four devices that could access the alpha/beta form were the OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find X5, Oppo Find X5 Pro, and Oppo Find N.
Alpha Testing Recruitment for the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G in China Started on August 24
The most recent device added to the list is the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G which is also being called the Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus 5G in China. The alpha testing recruitment for the smartphone already started back on August 24 in China.
The alpha testing recruitment for the first batch, however, ended the very next day. It was noted that when it comes to the global markets, the registrations were reportedly opened on August 26 and are scheduled to come to an end by September 2.
Only 100 Seats Will be Available for the Alpha Testing
When it comes to the international markets, however, the alpha program will only be available to India. To make things a little bit harder, the firm will only allocate 100 seats for the alpha testing.
This means that if certain users are very interested to try the new software before others, they will have to be eligible and register as soon as possible. In order to register for the program, users can follow a five-step process.

STEP 1: Go to Settings
STEP 2: Select About device and click on the ColorOS logo
STEP 3: Press the three-dot menu
STEP 4: Click on the Trial versions and choose Alpha
STEP 5: Follow the instructions on-screen and submit
Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G Will be Extended to Even More Regions
The applicants that have been selected will be able to get the ColorOS 13 alpha build through OTA. It is still unknown whether the program for the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G will be extended to even more regions.
The article by Gizmo China confirms, however, that the handset will be able to receive beta builds in India in September. This is going to be most likely followed by its stable release as soon as October.
