As reported first by 9To5Mac, the iOS 16 beta 8 has been rolled out today for registered developers, following its official release two weeks from now. This beta's purpose is for it to reveal different bugs that can be fixed before the release, improve performances, and optimize final touches on several added features.

Selected developers can now download the latest beta by opening the settings application on their iPhones, and going directly to General where the Software Update is located. Before the installation, several reminders were presented to the users such as detailed information and the purpose of the early access. 

What's New With Beta 8

As per the company's developer, issues from Beta 7 were fixed such as the problem with the Assistive Touch accessibility feature, wallpapers, iCloud, and more. No new functions were added as its goal was to only fix several issues before releasing it to the public.

Former Betas and Its Features

Only a week ago, Beta 7 was just released that fixed minor bugs and last-minute changes that are unnoticeable. This was already expected as there are only a few weeks before the final product will be released.

For Beta 5 and 6, the return of the battery percentage was revealed and can be viewed by enabling the Low Power Mode. According to the developers, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 13 Mini might not have this feature. The battery percentage has been removed since the debut of Face ID phones.

iOS Beta 5 also included the new visuals in the lock screen when listening to any music platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, etc.

Meanwhile, a sorting subscription on the App Store was added on iOS Beta 4 where users can sort by the application name, price, and renewal date. It also launched the undo feature in Mail that allows users to change/edit or disable sending mail. The ability to edit messages in iMessage was also presented in this beta.  

Beta 2 launched the large album art covers in the lock screen and the Lock Down mode, while Beta 1 presented the customization of the lock screen and added widgets, new memoji styles, new stickers, and more that users were all shocked as this have the notable changes can be seen.

iPadOS 16.1 Beta

While the iPhone users were excited for this new operating software to be released, iPad users experienced the more advanced version of it as Apple released the beta for iPadOS 16.1 that rolled out last week, August 24.

The reason for Apple skipping was not revealed yet Apple stated that "we have the flexibility to deliver iPadOS on its own schedule." This will be released this Fall.

Apple Event this September

An event by Apple will be held and will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater where the company will launch several products that users have waited for a couple of months. These include the iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, and the iOS 16.

Along with these are also the prices and dates of the launch. Several media members will be attending the event in person and will witness the products and updates mentioned above.
