Some new details about the upcoming "Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2" have surfaced as the game is nearing its Oct. 23 release. The recent one was a leak of the game's new Ground War map.

Activision or Infinity Ward has not yet confirmed the inclusion of the map in the game, and neither company has left any crumbs about it. Fans of Ground War, however, can now sit tight thanks to this most recent leak.

According to a Sportskeeda report, the leak came from Twitter user JulesLeaks which posted an image of the new Modern Warfare Ground War map. At the time of writing, the said leaks outlet on Twitter has been suspended, and some other Ground War leakers have found their posts forced offline.

Due to an Activision copyright claim after they shared the map, the image has since been removed. We have already scoured the Internet for some more leak sources and almost all of them have their posted images taken down too.

A report from Upcomer tells us that Activision typically makes a copyright claim when it does not want fans to view something before it is formally unveiled. Is this confirming that Modern Warfare 2 will be launching the return of the fan-favorite 2019 map?

Although the developers haven't formally denied anything, the fact that the image was removed because of copyright claims may be sufficient proof that it is indeed coming our way. If you are curious about the leaked image, check out this snapshot by CharlieIntel.

The Ground War map returns for Modern Warfare 2

If you happen to watch the game's world gameplay reveal trailer that premiered last June 9, you can tell that "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II" will be featuring some tank fighting actions. In the said gameplay trailer, we saw some tanks cruising through a battlefield along with a chopper exploding overhead.

This means that there is a chance that one of the player base's favorite game modes could be making a return along this new edition of Modern Warfare. I am talking about Ground War.

The map seems to be based in a ruined city, depending on how it looks. It appears massive and features numerous buildings grouped, providing an excellent landscape for thrilling up-close combat. On top of that, we can make out what appears to be a baseball field with a very good open space.

More about MW2

This new Call of Duty title will feature new gameplay innovations. From what we have seen from the previous gameplay trailers, its animations look crisp and better than past reboots. Furthermore, the game also features all-new gun handling mechanics and advanced AI.

This narrative-driven Special Ops game will also feature the return of Task Force 141, one of the best special operations units in Call of Duty. Do you know what this means? The game's biggest guns are back.
