Sonos Sub Mini Subwoofer Images Leaked: Here's What the Speaker Might Look Like

Renders of an upcoming Sonos Sub Mini subwoofer have been spotted online. The main question in customers' minds is whether the leaked images could be the long sought-after solution to a more affordable sound system.

Sonos Could Potentially Release a Sub Mini Subwoofer

Sonos customers have long been waiting for a cheaper subwoofer available ever since the initial one showed up last year. With that, recent images of the Sonos Sub Mini's design have started to pop up online.

A website called WinFuture.de released a few pictures that show what the upcoming audio device could look like. It's important to note that the pictures have not yet been officially confirmed by Sonos themselves.

Leaked Photos Show a Design that Closely Resembles the Original Rendering

According to the story by The Verge, the design of the Sub Mini was initially revealed a few months ago. The leaked photos show a design that closely resembles the original rendering of the publication.

It was noted that the leaked images closely resemble the Sonos' larger port which is reportedly a $749 Sub. It was noted that its overall height places the device closer to the Sonos One speaker.

Sub Mini Speakers Come in Two Color Options; Black and White

The picture, however, only reveals images, and no features, specs, or release dates come with it. As pointed out by WinFuiture, the marketing pics are suggesting that after a delay, users could see the devices ship out between October and December.

The leak shows the Sonos Sub mini in two color options, black and white. Alongside the Sonos is the One speaker as well as the Ray and Beam soundbars. This could suggest multiple bundles could be in the works.

Details Regarding the Sub Mini are Still Lacking

Despite the lack of detail, the photos could be evidence that Sonos will indeed come out with a more affordable version of the larger subwoofer that they released. It is also usually a standard that a more affordable version would be smaller than a regular version.

When opening the WinFuture website, the text remains in German but can be translated through the Chrome browser. The website, however, includes text describing what the smaller Subwoofer could look like.

Sonos Sub Mini Launching Moved from Q4 of 2022 to Q1 of 2023

The website notes that they have the official marketing pics and that the smaller Sonos subwoofer will go on sale during the first quarter of 2023. The initial launch for the Sonos Sub Mini was supposed to happen in Q4 of 2022.

The interesting thing about the Sub Mini is that the article notes that it does not have that much difference compared to the Sonos One in terms of height. It was noted that the images "confirm the design concept shown a few months ago" which were shared by The Verge.
