Retail stores for both the physical and online platforms are seeing no more stocks of the Apple Watch Series 3, a smartwatch from the company that will soon see discontinuation from the company's production. The Apple Watch is removing a device from availability as it prepares to launch a new device this September " Far Out" event.

It is unknown if Apple will add the Series 3 device to the Vintage Products List after discontinuation.

The online Apple Store's listing of the Apple Watch Series 3 in the United Kingdom region sees a sold-out status on the website, signifying that it ran out of stock of the wearable device for the public. The Apple Watch Series 3 surely is a famous device until the present, despite already seeing four later versions of the smartwatch.

According to Mac Rumors, it is also unavailable for purchase in Australia and the United States, seeing that stocks are not accessible in these regions for the old smartwatch. It is a good thing for Apple, especially as it already sold out the wearable devices that it plans to soon discontinue production and availability for all.

Apple Watch Series 3 to be Discontinued

The report also claims that the device sold out before it got discontinued, something which Apple is already planning for the upcoming devices in its lineup via the Apple September event happening this Wednesday. The Apple Watch Series 3 is no longer compatible with the upcoming watchOS 9, with the Series 4 being the oldest to see compatibility.

Apple's Vintage Product List

Vintage Products from Apple are a collection of obsolete devices that the company previously released, but are no longer supported by the company for repairs, replacements, accessories, and more. Additionally, one of the most important factors of getting to this list is the device no longer receives software updates from the company.

Not all vintage products from the Cupertino giant see an out-of-stock status in its Apple Stores, as one device, the Apple TV HD, sees a continuing sale from the company despite being under the list. Apple still selling the Apple TV HD until it runs out of stock is understandable, but it is no longer offering any support for its hardware and software, even for its repairs.

Apple created a lot of technology and devices for the world to experience, and it is only natural that the company is including obsolete devices on its vintage products list for when it is no longer under development. It is unknown if the Apple Watch Series 3 is seeing its inclusion here, but losing compatibility with new software is the first step towards it.
