The Apple Store is not your ordinary online merchant. Where else would you find people excited and cheering in anticipation over seeing a down website?

It has practically become a habit for the tech giant to shut down their official web store for maintenance before releasing their latest items for preorder. An Apple Store shut down in the years leading up to the arrival of the latest iPhone 14 would indicate that we could be just hours away from seeing the new Apple items on the shelf.

Apple Store Down, New Products Coming Up

People online reported that the official Apple Store was not working two days ago, Sept. 7, only a few hours before the much-anticipated Apple Far Out event. According to a Tech Times report about the incident, 89% of users who attempted to access the online store reported having troubles with the Cupertino-based tech manufacturer's website.

This news is surprising as the official Apple Store System Status update told the public that the website's services should be working properly.

The Apple Store site is unavailable Friday, Sept. 9, for maintenance in anticipation of the iPhone 14 Series preorder rollout. The downtime sparked excitement among Apple fans, as it could indicate that the tech company is now finalizing the release of the aforementioned newly unveiled devices. Apple is set to release several products this week, including the upcoming iPhone 14 variants.

When browsing the Apple Store's website in the United States, the notice "You're... early" appears. "Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PDT. Enjoy the extra sleep," says the Apple notification. MacRumors informs us that Apple has been doing 5:00 a.m. preorders for several years instead of 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time preorders that we used to have.
