Gurman is a Bloomberg reporter who has a strong track record when it comes to Apple leaks. Thus, the source expects the corporation will launch the service perhaps this year or early next year.
Gurman stated as much in the most recent issue of his newsletter, adding that "Apple is currently testing this new service." This subscription service would not simply be a means to pay off your iPhone progressively. Rather, it would be a continuous subscription that you'd pay for as long as you kept the phone, although it would almost certainly offer the opportunity to change your handset for a new model. Meanwhile, it would supposedly link with Apple One software subscriptions.
What's in Apple Subscription?
Rather than accessing digital services and online programs, this rumored Apple subscription service will be used to purchase iPhones, iPads, and maybe other Apple devices. As of the moment, the report's details are scant.
Techradar reports that the purported business would charge a monthly subscription for hardware access. The advantage, as with leasing, is that someone may be able to obtain an iPhone 13 Pro Max (worth $1,099 / £1,049 / AU$1,849) for no money down but must agree to pay a monthly recurring cost for the duration of their ownership.
In the same Techradar report, Apple chose not to disclose the subscription service during the iPhone 14 debut in order to minimize launch day complications. After all, is said and done, it will introduce an altogether new manner of purchasing an iPhone. That may have been the correct decision as well, as the iPhone 14 ordering process has been everything than seamless thus far.
