French Junior Minister for Transports Clement Beaune (C) speaks with cyclists on electric bicycle during an event aimed at promoting soft mobility, between Blandainville and Illiers-Combray, center France, on August 11, 2022.

The Apollo

The Apollo has a 400-pound weight capacity with a dual-purpose design. With its design, it can do more car trips. As mentioned, the electric bike can carry more load. It is designed in response to rider surveys, feedback from municipalities, and global research conducted by the micromobility company. The aim is to help reduce car dependency and help cities reach their climate goals.

The Apollo's motor can be engaged via the rider's pedaling action, which means that the rider still has to get some work done to make the bike work. It features a throttle, which is crucial for hill rides. However, it won't turn into a high-power motorcycle. Instead, the throttle is limited to 15 mph top speed, which is best for passengers who don't ride often. The second seat in the Veo Apollo makes micromobility realistic for a lot of people.

The Veo Apollo is expected to be launched in early 2023.

Micromobility Industry

With the growing popularity of electric mobility devices, the country and some cities are getting more dependent on their cars. The increasing cost of driving cars has made the concept of "last mile" solutions more reasonable. For example, if people need to go from the office to the Metro station or from their home to the grocery store, the last mile solutions are an option to getting their hands on and owning a car.

However, solutions like car-sharing or carpooling are not exempt from their problems. For example, carpooling requires the driver to be at the pick-up spot at the exact time, which is not usually doable. Other problems include the driver's schedule and the extra fees for carpooling in some areas.

This is where micromobility solutions like the Veo Apollo come into play. With an affordable electric vehicle, people can easily travel from one place to another. The Apollo can be parked anywhere, which makes it more convenient compared to a car.

The Veo Apollo has been unveiled. It is aimed to help with the environmental issues and climate goals that many cities want to achieve.
