Nintendo Switch Online added three new Sega Genesis classic games to its Expansion Pack library.

It turns out that subscribers of Switch Online were taken by surprise after Nintendo dishes out new Sega Genesis titles like the classical "Earthworm Jim," and more iconic offerings.

Nintendo Switch Online Gains Three Sega Genesis Games

As per the latest report by Nintendo Life, the giant Japanese gaming firm introduced two additional Sega Genesis games to its Switch Online Expansion Pack, giving its subscribers more classical options to choose from.

The official Twitter account of Nintendo of America announced that three classic SEGA Genesis games are now available to the members of its Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.

It is worth mentioning that these three games also made it to the Japanese members of Switch Online.

The Expansion Pack of the gaming subscription service of the Switch maker already offers several Sega Genesis games. But these three new offerings add up to its constantly growing library of iconic titles.

Given that, even if decades have already passed since these Sega Genesis titles debuted, Nintendo Switch gamers could still get their hands on them through the subscription service.

'Earthworm Jim,' and More Sega Genesis Titles

And to cut to the chase, the three new Sega Genesis offerings on the Switch Online service include "Beyond Oasis (The Story of Thor)," "Alisia Dragoon," and, as mentioned, "Earthworm Jim."

According to a news story by Comicbook.com, one of the most notable among the three new games on Switch Online is none other than the side-scrolling title featuring - you guessed it right - an earthworm named Jim.

But the two other Sega titles, "Alisia Dragoon" and "Beyond Oasis," are worth checking out too.

The action-adventure game Beyond Oasis, which Japanese and European folks refer to as the "Story of Thor," is critically acclaimed, Comicbook.com highlights. Meanwhile, "Alisia Dragoon" is a classical Sega game that first saw the light of day long ago in 1992.

All these new titles are now available to the subscribers of Switch Online, joining various NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis offerings.

How to Get Sega Genesis Games on Switch Online

It is worth noting that the three additional games on Switch Online are only available on the Expansion Pack tier of the service.

It means that subscribers of its base tier miss out on the expanded Genesis library. Instead, the cheaper option only includes games from NES and SNES titles.

On the other hand, the Expansion Pack provides a more exciting and sizable library, which includes Genesis and N64 cult classics.
