Beta Version Compared to the Alpha Version

Companies working on games usually work in cycles and for those that don't know, before the beta version, there is actually an alpha version of the game. The alpha version is basically the less-finished version of the game.

When it comes to the beta version, the game is not yet perfect but has to be playable for the pool of players. Within the beta version, players are expected to help the company spot certain bugs or glitches within the title to help fix them before the official release.

According to the story by Windows Central, "Diablo 4" developers have officially released a statement regarding the game's closed beta. The beta version will reportedly focus on the end game experience in order for the story developments to remain intact.

A video by Diablo dropped on YouTube detailing how the game is nearing its launch which was mentioned to happen next year. The video then talked more about the closed beta and how it focused on what would happen when players finish the game.

 

Blizzard Gives More Detail Regarding the 'Closed End Game Beta' of the Upcoming 'Diablo IV'

Blizzard published a blog post regarding the closed beta describing it as a "Closed End Game Beta" which will give select players the experience that "Diablo IV" has to offer. The developer noted that additional details regarding what type of players are needed or how the invites will be sent are to be followed.

The article has provided a step-by-step guide as to how players will be able to join the closed beta for "Diablo IV." The first thing that the article said players must do is to update their preferences on the Battle.net website or through the launcher.

Update in Settings have to be Done by October 11 and Invites Will be Sent by November 18

Players need to allow Blizzard permission to contact them. This way, if players are selected, they will be able to get a message or email from the company regarding the closed beta.

The article then says that players should click their username and head to Account Settings to ensure that the Privacy & Communication tab has been updated. Players will also have to allow Blizzard to send them "news and communications from Battle.net."

The timeline for players to do this is up until October 11. Invites will be sent come November 18 so by that time, if players do not get an invite, this could mean that they would have to wait until Blizzard's next testing phase for "Diablo IV."
