Logitech has just gotten even more serious when it comes to simulation driving with what buyers might describe as a "pro" wheel due to its price. The new Logitech G Pro direct drive racing wheel has dropped at quite a steep price of $999.

Logitech Announces New Racing Wheel and Pedal

To put things into perspective, the new racing wheel basically costs more than a new PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. The new accessory is strictly just the racing wheel and if buyers also want to get the pedal set, they will have to pay extra.

According to the story by Windows Central, Logitech G just announced the launch of an accessory designed for professional sim racing. The new G Pro racing wheel is expected to feature a high-end direct drive motor as well as other features like Trueforce feedback engine support.

How the Racing Wheel and Pedal will Provide a More In-Depth Experience

With the addition of Trueforce feedback engine support, users will be able to experience an incredibly responsive and "intense simulation driving experience." Aside from just the wheel, Logitech will also be launching the G Pro pedals as well which are designed to be a companion set and come with their very own modular design.

Players will also get a customizable layout in order to allow for the complete removal of certain individual pedals in order to experience semi-automatic racing. To make the simulation even more realistic, the break feature will include a load-cell sensor which is rated for as high as 100kg of force.

Teaser for the New Racing Accessories Uplaoded to Twitter

The high-end pedals have consistency as their primary aim. The hall effect sensors located on the clutch and gas are designed to be able to stand a whole lifetime of usage.

Logitech released a clip on Twitter showing both the Pro Wheel and the Pro Pedals. The video likens the experience to actually driving in real life to give fans of driving simulations a more in-depth racing experience.

Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel, Pedal, and Seat

The Logitech G Pro racing wheel is selling at a $999 MSRP while the pedal will cost buyers $349. Both of the racing gadgets will reportedly be sold through the company's official website and are not planning to replace other sim racing accessories within the lineup.

Upon launch, the website showed a 404 error but the staff announced that the availability would start before September ended. There was also an announcement of a collaboration with Playseat which would launch a Trophy sim cockpit along with the G Pro brand.

For those that want the full sim racing experience, the seat will be close to the standard Trophy model and will cost buyers $599. The article by Windows Central said they were sent racing wheels and pedals for testing.
