Many users are annoyed by this problem as some of them purchased the AirPods Max for their work meetings and other online activities. 

The ANC problem began after Apple released the firmware update called 4E71 back in May. At first, only a few users blamed the firmware update for the worsening ANC. 

However, as months went by, many AirPods Max owners started to believe that the firmware update 4E71 was the main cause of the ANC problem.

According to 9To5Mac's latest report, a Reddit user posted about the issue.

"Anyone having issues with the Noise Canceling on Airpod pros since 4E71 update? I can hear myself typing and other outside noises that weren't previously heard before since the update," asked u/DropDeadDreamer

In the comment section, many AirPods Max owners shared their negative experiences since Apple launched the firmware update 4E71. 

Another Reddit user said that the Active Noise Cancelling feature seems no longer on his AirPods Max. 

Another AirPods Max owner complained that he could hear the weights clanking whenever he used the wearable at the gym.  

Can AirPods Max ANC Issue be Fixed? 

As of press time, Apple hasn't confirmed if the recent 4E71 firmware update really causes the issue. 

But, people familiar with the tech manufacturer's works said it is working on a new firmware version for the headphones. 

This enhancement is expected to offer the new LC3 codec, which will improve the audio call quality of Apple AirPods Max. 

However, it is still unsure if it will include a fix for the ANC issue.

Just press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the LED flashes amber.
