Tesla wants to achieve a "very high volume" for the deliveries of its electric vehicle as the third quarter of the year closes down in a few days.
To arrive at its goal at the end of Q3 2022, the automaker is asking for some help from its employees--even those who do not work in the delivery department.
Tesla to Push High Volume Delivery For EVs

Tesla is asking all of its employees to help with the EV delivery tasks to the customers.
Tesla boss Elon Musk was aware that the company had encountered some problems regarding deliveries of the electric vehicles over the previous quarter, which he considered "nutty."
This time, the philanthropist wants to make a difference by the end of the third quarter. Musk expects that the delivery push will be met timely so it won't end up like what happened in Q2.
According to Electrek, Musk is hellbent to pursue recruiting more employees to the delivery and sales team, so it would solve the problem of the end-of-quarter push.
"We will be delivering a very high volume of vehicles to eagerly waiting customers during the final days of Q3. To help ensure we can delight as many customers as possible, the delivery team is requesting additional support with key delivery-execution tasks," the company wrote in an email.
The employees outside the delivery operations are encouraged to contribute to the additional tasks to meet the third-quarter target of EV customers.
The report from Electrek notes that Tesla is asking them to do the following tasks:
- direct delivery of vehicles to the customers.
- responding to customer's queries about EV delivery
- assisting in transporting the vehicles
- cleaning the vehicles that are bound for shipment
This end-of-quarter delivery push is not new anymore to the company. Previously, Tesla has also requested even the executives and the managers to assist the employees with their tasks in the delivery centers.
Can Tesla Change the Game For Q3 Deliveries?
So far, the experts have high hopes that Tesla can achieve what it wants to happen for this quarter.
According to industry analysts, the EV maker could hit its delivery target, playing between 350,000 and 370,000 vehicles.
More importantly, this could indicate that Tesla is improving its delivery record. In the first quarter of 2022, the company only managed to deliver 310,000 units, so the estimated delivered units is a big improvement if it happens in the next few days.

Tesla Shanghai Plant to be Put On Hold
In other news, Reuters reported that Tesla plans to limit the production of its Shanghai-based factory through late 2022. According to the person familiar with the matter, the company stated no reason for this decision.
Last week, the production expansion in the same Giga Shanghai plant was reportedly complete already. The automaker said the upgrade would allow it to deliver 22,000 Model 3 and Model Y EVs weekly.
