All iPhone users can now subscribe to Apple Fitness+ without the need to own an Apple Watch.

On Sep. 7, Apple made the announcement publicly, indicating that the update will be available later this fall in 21 countries where the service is offered.

The Fitness+ on iOS 16

The app is available in the most updated OS of iPhones, the iOS 16, so there is no need to download it.

The upcoming update will allow iPhone users to use the Apple Fitness+ and its complete contents without relying on an Apple Watch.

More than 3,000 studio-style workouts and meditations will become accessible due to the change. Users will see the trainer's guidance and interval timing onscreen. Details like the estimated calories burned when they finish certain exercises will also be available.

This promotes iPhone users to have finally or keep a healthy, active lifestyle even without an Apple Watch.

Users can set up a daily Move goal in the app and see how their active calories can make progress on their Move ring.

Since the watch is no longer needed, Fitness+ will use the iPhone's motion sensors to track the steps, distance, and flights of the users. The onscreen metrics can also be accessed on other compatible third-party devices.

Fitness+ will use the said information to estimate how many calories the users will be burning, contributing to their daily Move goal.

What's more interesting is that users can share their Move ring with friends for a better experience and additional motivation.

To access the features of Fitness+, it will be available inside the Fitness app on iOS 16, located in the middle tab. Users can close their Move ring through awards, activity sharing, and a lot more.

After signing up using an iPhone, users can also enjoy the app using an iPad and Apple TV.

Fitness+ app is available in several countries, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, the UAE, the UK, and the US.

New Seasons of 'Time to Walk' and 'Time to Run' Series

Apart from this good news, Apple launched the new seasons of the 'Time to Walk' and 'Time to Run' series.

The fourth season of 'Time to Walk' is finally out with new inspiring audio stories from its new guests, Regina Hall, Nicky Jam, Leslie Jordan, Ade Adepitan, Constance Wu, and finally, Meghan Trainor.

To date, the said Fitness+ feature has already invited 58 well-known personalities.

'Time to Run' kicked off its second season, featuring new locations such as Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Mexico City, and Queenstown, New Zealand.

Its goal is to inspire users during their daily running routine by providing coaching tips and energizing music playlists.
