The entire team of Saturday Night Live (SNL) seems like they are keeping up with all that is going on with Ned Fulmer and The Try Guys as they made a comedy skit out of the group's viral video as part of the show aired on Oct. 8, Saturday.

What was The Try Guys' Original Video All About?

The said viral video of the three remaining members of The Try Guys - Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger - was posted on Oct. 4 through their YouTube channel.

The trio was emotional as they went into details about why they had to fire former member Ned Fulmer because of his cheating scandal.

It also explained how the investigation went, like sitting down with HR and legal teams and what they are busy doing now, particularly removing Fulmer from the existing and upcoming videos digitally.

At one point, Yang stated that the controversy was something that they put into very serious consideration. He added that Fulmer's actions do not represent who they are or what they stand for.

The SNL Treatment: Did They Go Too Far?

In the SNL's comedy skit reported by Cnet, the CNN reporter, played by actress-comedienne Ego Nwodim, appeared perplexed as to why The Try Guys are making headlines, turning up the heat a few hundred notches. Even a segment on President Biden's stance regarding Ukraine has to be cut just to report the group's recent issue.

The reporter asked the SNL's three Try Guys, "So the full story is your friend had a side chick, and you fired him?"

Yang's role, portrayed by comedian Bowen Yang, agreed and said that they had no option. The Yang's character hoped that the fake Fulmer, in their skit, was somewhere lying on his back with a gunshot.

The reporter made an effort to divert the program back to the news, stating that Iran is on the cusp of undergoing a cultural revolution, but the SNL's Try Guys requested that the cameras return to them so they can continue discussing the "trauma" they are facing. Cnet transcribed, "This is the battle of our lives," said one of the members.

Fulmer's Involvement in a Cheating Controversy

Despite being married to the "TryWife" Ariel Fulmer, former Try Guys member Ned Fulmer was seen with another employee, engaging in public romantic behavior on Labor Day weekend.

Witnesses notified The Try Guys' company, then after internal investigations, Fulmer was proven accountable as he revealed that their relationship had been going on for some time.

Habersberger, however, emphasized that they had no idea prior to this.

The Original Try Guys

The Try Guys are a popular YouTube channel with 8 million followers to date. Their moniker comes from the fact that they video bizarre antics.

They started in 2010 as contributors to internet media BuzzFeed. Later on, in 2018, they decided to launch and function as an independent entertainment company under 2nd Try LLC.
