Signal Messaging App is an alternative to other messaging platforms like WhatsApp. The app reportedly provides users with end-to-end encryption to ensure that the only people that can view messages are the sender and the receiver.

Now, the app is adding a new feature that allows users to do more than just send messages to each other. The new feature allows users to share Stories on the app, including photos or videos.

The feature works like the Stories feature on other popular platforms like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and others. According to the story by News18, Signal Stories will come to the Android beta version 5.52 and iOS version 5.57.

The article reportedly allows users to share videos, photos, or texts with people on the contact list. The Stories reportedly disappear automatically after it is shown to the contact list for 24 hours.

To upload Stories on Signal, the process will be very similar to uploading Stories on different platforms. With Stories added to Signal, users who enjoy the feature on other platforms will make it easier for them to switch platforms should they want to.

The article by News18 shares the whole process of how users can use the Stories feature. The first thing users should do is click on the Stories tab on the Signal app.

How to Upload Stories on Signal

After this, users can click on the My Stories bubble, which will appear at the interface's very top. Finally, users can create or Add an image or video with text to share the story on Signal.

Signal will reportedly allow users to save the cropped image on the device to have a copy of it despite the story disappearing. Users can also make Stories with Text by clicking the Text option on the bottom bar.

Alternative Ways for Users to Upload Stories to Signal

After making the Stories, users must click the arrow button to share the Stories on Signal. After the content is shared, people on the users' contact list will be able to view them in the period that they are available.

As per an article by 9to5Mac, the Stories on Signal are expected to be end-to-end encrypted and are still limited to just the users on the contact list to view them. Unlike other platforms, due to its encryption, the Stories on Signal won't be viewable by other people aside from those on the users' contact list.
