Epic Game Store has been offering at least one free game every Thursday for its weekly free games, which is already a routine from the store. For this week, they will be offering two games and it includes Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition.

Fallout 3: The Game of the Year Edition for Free

In a report from PC Gamer, Epic Games Store will be offering Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for free as a part of their weekly free games giveaway for its users, 14 years after the game was released. This will capture the gamers' feeling of wandering though a world that is now a wasteland, as per the report.

Once claimed, users will be receiving several add-on packs as The Game of the Year Edition will be including Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. This is already a good deal for the mere fact that it can be obtained for free.

Fallout 3 was originally the series' first entry from the Bethesda Game Studios and normally retails for $19.99 in the market.

This was described by Epic Games Store as the most acclaimed game of 2008 ever before as it features first-person gameplay as the character "descended into an awe-inspiring, post-apocalyptic world where every minute is a fight for survival."

Fallout TV Series

The release also comes with perfect timing for players who have not experienced the game since there will be a new Fallout TV series coming in Amazon Prime Video. Last August, Comic Book reported leaked images that show the location of the shoot, a familiar setting that can be seen in the video game series.

In a now-deleted tweet from @BethesdaArabic, it showed a fully-realized set that was modeled after a Vault, which are areas that became shelters to protect people from the nuclear fallout. The vault in the image is said to be called "Shelter 33".

Weekly Free Games

Aside from Fallout 3, Evoland Legendary Edition will also be part of Epic Game Store's weekly free games. It features two games in one: Evoland: A Short Story of Adventure Video Games Evolution and Evoland II: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder.

This game was developed by Shiro games according to Comic Book. It also received several good reviews over the years. This features gameplay about a certain tribute to different video games from different eras. It also originally retails at $19.99, the same price as Fallout 3.

Epic Game Store also teased players about the two games that they will be offering for free next week, which are Saturnalia and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus.
