Samsung plans its future Galaxy Z Fold phones to start featuring S-Pen slots as it expects the foldable devices to be more popular.

It is worth noting that its flagship S series started doing so after it stopped releasing its Note lineup.

And this time, it looks like the South Korean phone maker is also aiming to bring a built-in stylus to one of its foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold, in its future iterations.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Phones

While there are not many foldable phone offerings in the market these days, one of the first that comes to mind is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip.

In fact, the foldable phones of the South Korean phone maker remain to be the best-selling devices out there in their form factor globally.

According to a recent report by Sam Mobile, the Galaxy Z Flip and the Z Flip Fold are the most successful foldable phones these days.

And it turns out that the renowned Korean tech firm is expecting the foldable phone maker to significantly grow in the next few years. Samsung believes that it is skyrocketing by a staggering 80% come 2025.

Sam Mobile reports that the Samsung MX shared some of its predictions on the foldable market in a meeting last October. The phone maker took the chance to tell its suppliers that the foldable devices market will grow massively in the next three years.

Samsung believes that Apple is joining the craze sometime in 2024. However, the Korean behemoth notes that the Cupertino giant is initially gearing up to debut foldable iPads and MacBooks. So it looks like the folding iPhone might take some time.

Besides these bold predictions, the phone maker claims that the majority of current foldable users are sticking with the flexible form factor.

Given that, roughly 90% of them are expected to get their hands on new foldable offerings once they upgrade their devices.

S-Pen on Future Samsung Foldables?

Samsung is essentially saying that the demand for foldable devices is set to massively shoot up in the future.

With that in mind, the renowned tech giant took note of what needs improving in their current Z Fold and Flip offerings, as per the news story by WCCFTech.

The Korean firm admits that these foldable phones need to be lighter, more durable, and smaller. Not to mention that the visible crease on its flexible display must be less noticeable.

Besides these improvements, the Apple rival disclosed that the future Z Fold should start including an S-Pen slot. It should help it become a full-fledged productivity workhorse in the future.
