Twitter's content moderation policy remains unchanged, and this is what the new CEO of the social media claimed earlier this morning as he explained what is happening in the company. According to Musk's tweets, he aims to clarify this with the general public the social media, saying that he would continue the policies present within the company.

Furthermore, he said that hate speech was lower in his first week.

Chief Twit previously said that it would have free speech in the company, but would not tolerate anything beyond the law, and this may mean that there would be more leeway.

Nevertheless, his previous claims did not mention anything regarding Twitter's unregulated experience, only that it will center more on hearing both sides, the left and right.

In another tweet, Musk explained that there was a need to lay off employees in the company, as part of the downsizing and employee layoffs, a trend that took place amongst many companies this year. Since Musk's acquisition of the short word social media last week, one of his earliest "first orders of business" is to push through with the $8 monthly subscription for the Twitter Blue service. It also includes the requirement to have this subscription remain verified on the platform, making it available for all who wish to have the blue check.

It saw mixed opinions from the public, but most of it were backlash which shades the tech CEO regarding his focus on profiting from the public to get verification.

However, those were not the only changes in social media in Musk's first week, especially with the company layoffs which downsized its workforce significantly in the past few days. Allegedly, their layoffs were based on previous tweets they posted online, and it sparked outrage among employees when they sued the company and its new owner.

Musk is now looking for ways to clarify this incident, and in his latest tweet, he said that these were all said in advance and employees were given more than 50 percent of the legal separation pay. Additionally, his focus on Twitter's content moderation did not change from the old policies, still looking into hate speech and misinformation.
