Some await a foldable iPhone from Apple, especially as they would like to see how it would fare against the current market dominated by Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices. However, this thought came to life with a Chinese content creator over at YouTube called "Aesthetics of Technology" which went ahead of Apple and created one using a Motorola RAZR body.

The content creator and engineers behind this have also looked into tweaking the iOS to work in the foldable setup with a split-screen feature for the modded device.

This iPhone foldable was not made by Apple, but its internals, screens, and looks are all from an iPhone which a YouTube channel detailed its transformation to deliver one of the first foldable iPhones in the world. A channel called "Aesthetics of Technology" wowed the world with their recent upload when they transformed a Moto RAZR foldable to a folding iPhone.

The channel's engineers took the public into its many intricate processes, starting with taking apart an iPhone X and selecting its flexible parts only, one that still brings a picture to a display.

According to Android Central, the team first used a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 to use as a body for the folding iPhone but proved hard to fold its screens needed for the transformation. It got better results with the Moto RAZR with a wider gap when folded down.

Foldable iPhone was Successful but with Problems

The team successfully made the foldable iPhone and managed to also transform the iOS to do split screens, something which one would expect on a foldable smartphone that folds halfway. Nevertheless, the project was a success, but it saw significant problems with the transformation, centering on applying the iPhone platform to a foldable body.

iPhones vs. Foldable Devices Now

Apple remained with its standard smartphone screens for a long time now and did not move a muscle with its flat screens despite the numerous takes and successes from competitors in the market. The recent iPhone 14 release also got speculations regarding a foldable version but was ultimately changed to future dates and drops of the company.

Now, the talks regarding a foldable screen from Apple would center on its famous tablets, the iPad lineup, for 2024 or 2025.

Samsung is also throwing massive jabs against Apple using the South Korean company's advertisements which target the flat iPhone with its foldable Z Fold and Z Flip devices. Also, the famous company claimed that Apple is looking into going into the foldable market by 2024, further solidifying the speculations behind a foldable iPad in the future.

The only takeaway now is that it is possible to bring the iPhones over to a foldable body, as content creators and engineers can do and transform the device. Yes, it is not perfect and has many flaws which sacrificed many iPhones, Samsung Z Flips, and RAZRs in the process, but it is all worth it, in the end, to prove that Apple would also look good in foldable screens.
