Black Friday is among the most-awaited sales event that will happen before 2022 ends. It is expected to kick off on Nov. 25.

It is popular because Black Friday is the shopping event that happens the day after Thanksgiving. 

Although it is technically a one-day sales event, various deals are already being offered before the event. 

Some discounted products are also expected to become available throughout the entire week of Black Friday 2022. 

If you are among the participating shoppers, then here are some shopping habits you need to practice during the event.

According to USA Today's latest report, shoppers should always check the ads of retailers and online sellers before and during Black Friday week.

These advertisements will help you know what deals will be offered during the sales event's exact date. 

Looking at ads is not the only shopping habit you need to practice. Checking for special promo codes is also a must, as these can help you save more money. 

Aside from these, you also need to consider deals offered by smaller or local retailers. Amazon, Best Buy, and other e-commerce giants are not the only ones that can provide great discounted items.  

Since Black Friday is a sales event, it can also attract scammers and other malicious actors. CNET reported that phishing emails are quite rampant during the shopping bonanza. 

To avoid them, here are some tips you can follow: 

• Always check the sender's email address. 
• Avoid answering them if they address you with Mr. or Ms. instead of your actual name. 
• If the company's logo is of low quality, there's a high chance that the email message is a scam.  

Black Friday Items Worth Buying 

Black Friday will definitely provide great discounts for various products. But, among the items worth buying are smaller consumer electronics. 

Remember, earbuds, headphones, gaming mouses, and other similar devices will go really low once the sales event kicks in. 

Smarthome products are also expected to have great discounts. These include speakers, smart TVs, thermostats, etc. 

Previously, we already reported some deals offered before Black Friday 2022.
