Trinamix, one of the leaders when it comes to biometrics technology, is bringing its face authentication system to Snapdragon mobile processors this time.

The company presented a short demo of the integration during the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2022. The technology is optimized for the processor platform.

According to a report by VentureBeat, Trinamix has made a huge leap in the field of security after rolling out its biometric authentication to the Android platform.

In the demo, the firm showed how the OLED face authentication runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Trinamix aims to revamp how it handles mobile security by introducing an optimized solution behind the screen.

Future smartphones will benefit from this security solution which is not only focused on data safe-keeping. The company also wants the users to access "fast unlock" while enjoying the highest possible level of data protection.

Aside from that, it also grants them a full-screen viewing thanks to its reference design.

Anti-Fraud and Pro-User Technology

These days, cyberhackers are getting smarter each time they attempt to hijack a device or a computer. To ensure that these mishaps won't happen ever again, Trinamix has included the Qualcomm Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to heighten biometric data protection and collection among users.

According to Asaf Shen, Qualcomm's senior director of product management, the company aims to provide the "highest data security" in the current mobile industry.

"At Qualcomm Technologies, we have made data security an integral part of our mobile platform - which makes our work with Trinamix essential. The certified security of trinamiX Face Authentication perfectly complements our technology," he added.

The face authentication technology of Trinamix passed the certification last year, the International Internet Finance Authentication Alliance or IIFAA previously said.

Facial recognition and detection systems are still proven to be effective when it comes to safeguarding the user's data on a device.

Trinamix guarantees that third-party access won't be permitted in the mobile ecosystem thanks to its Qualcomm TEE software. The authentication process won't also allow tampering so unauthorized attempts to change your information won't work either.

Trinamix Incorporates Authentication to Other Firms

Two months ago, Biometric Update reported that Trinamix has partnered with Grupo Antolin to bring its authentication technology to the drivers.

For those unfamiliar with Grupo Antolin, it's a Spain-based firm that specializes in creating innovations for car interiors. Face authentication technology is not only limited to smartphones as it can also be used in the auto industry.

Outside the biometrics technology, the German-based company confirmed earlier this month that it has launched the on-site identification for textile materials.

Apparel Resources wrote that the Mobile NIR Spectroscopy Solution is capable of detecting over 15 types of textiles and their components. In this way, sorting each of them will be much faster and easier than before.
