When Backbone One mobile game controller first came out on iPhones, Android fans are surprised to see that it's not available yet on their devices.

Now, the game accessory is officially available on select Android smartphones starting this week. For just $99, you can achieve an immersive gaming experience paired with cross-compatibility.

Gaming controllers on Nintendo Switch works through Bluetooth, but we haven't yet seen a good quality controller that runs on Android.

The Backbone One controller for Android is customizable to the point that you can remap its buttons and other clickables. Although iPhone owners can choose different colors for this controller, the Android users could only select black as their option, according to IGN.

It's also compatible with the USB-C and can be attached to the gamepad. The Backbone mobile gaming controller exclusively works on devices with Android 8.0 version or later.

The Backbone One is not limited to mobile games alone. It's a versatile controller which also works with the gamepad when you connect to other platforms such as Amazon Luna, GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Outside these services, you can also connect it to Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation if you want to utilize the remote play.

Backbone One App

At the moment, Backbone intends to roll out a dedicated app for its mobile gaming controller where you can capture screenshots and access native games on the platform.

However, it's not yet available on Android. In the meantime, you can open it via early access.

If you want to revamp your overall mobile gaming experience with Backbone, you can pay a monthly subscription fee of $4 for the Backbone+ service.

Aside from remote play and cloud sharing support, this exclusive subscription package will allow you to stream games on YouTube and Twitch. You can also start recording on a 1080p/60fps quality for your games.

That's not the only advantage that you can reap by subscribing to it. You can also get huge discounts and trials on Discord Nitro, Google Play Pass, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and Apple Arcade.
