Elon Musk replied to a tweet about his capability of running Twitter due to his already handling SpaceX and Tesla. To this, Musk said, "people have no idea how fast Twitter will evolve.

Elon Musk's Recent Acquisition of Twitter has been a Widely Talked About Move in the Industry

Last month, Elon Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, according to The New York Times. Since then, the CEO has made questionable moves to the public, with many people criticizing his actions.

Some of these moves include the mass layoffs, where Musk let go of thousands of employees only to ask a few of them to come back. As per an article by Tech Crunch, Twitter is now asking companies that were recently fired to return to the company.

Some Employees were Asked to Return After Being Laid Off by the Company

As per the article, the people asked to come back were laid off "by mistake." It was also noted that the reason why some employees were asked to come back was that they were critical when it came to building features that Musk wanted for the platform.

On top of his mass layoffs, there have been many reports of imposters on Twitter abusing the blue checkmark feature, according to Reuters. The article shares how accounts would take advantage of the blue checkmark subscription to hijack the identities of legitimate personalities.

The Paid Blue Checkmark has had Moments Where It Backfired

One instance of the hijacked personality was for Eli Lilly and Co, a massive drugmaker, which had to issue an apology for actions by a fake account. A fake account used their name and, with a blue checkmark, said that insulin would be free.

The official Eli Lilly and Co had to issue an apology on Twitter for misleading messages from the fake account. Although the apology was issued, Eli Lilly stock had already suffered a massive drop of 4.5%.

Twitter Account Remains Positive on Elon Musk's Ability to Run Twitter Due to Work on Tesla and SpaceX

However, an account on Twitter remains positive, saying it is remarkable how many people with no idea of how to run a company think they know more than the person running Tesla and SpaceX.

For both companies, the stakes are high, as people will die if the software malfunctions. The account, Paul Graham, asked, "do you really think he's not up to managing a social network?"

Elon Musk Replied 'People Have No Idea How Fast Twitter Will Evolve'

Elon Musk replied, "people have no idea how fast Twitter will evolve." By the rate of his movements, there has been a lot happening at Twitter over the first few weeks of Musk's acquisition.

As for its profitability, people will have to wait until at least a year before the public knows that Twitter is profitable. Since the company is now private, it is hard to measure its profitability and success due to the lack of data aside from the daily active users, which has increased since Musk's takeover.
