Power Rangers actor Jason David Frank has reportedly died at the age of 49.

Jason David Frank made his acting debut in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, where he rose to prominence. Due to the popularity of his role, Jason, later on, took on the role of the White ranger as the new leader of the Power Rangers team, and also the red and black ranger in different renditions of the series.

Additionally, the late actor starred in other major action films, including Cybertron, Family Matters, Transformers: Titans Return, and Transformers: Titans Return. Off-screen, Frank is a former mixed martial artist born in Covina, California, United States.

Jason David Frank's Tragic Cause of Death

According to Meaww, Jason David Frank reportedly died after committing suicide on Nov. 20.

Jason's trainer and close friend Mike Bronzoulis confirmed the late actor's death in a Facebook post as a tribute, expressing his regret at not being able to respond immediately to Frank's message. Netizens took to the comments section to express their disbelief at the late actor's sudden death.

Jason is survived by his wife, Tammie, and children Jenna Frank, Skye Frank, Jacob Frank, and Hunter Frank. Notably, his wife had recently filed for divorce in August following allegations of Jason committing adultery, according to the Teal Mango.

Several co-stars also took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late actor after the confirmed news of his death, including actor Walter Jones, who played the role of the original black Power ranger.

Due to a lack of confirmation from his family, a report from Genius Celebs even debunked his alleged death as a hoax. The news prompted a mixed reaction from fans, while some took to Jason's latest Twitter threads searching for confirmation regarding the circulating death rumors.

In a surprising turn of events, Jason's agent confirmed his death. Power Ranger fans expressed grief by tweeting their condolences and tribute to the late actor.

Jason David Frank's Legacy in Power Rangers Franchise

Jason has played recurring roles in the Power Rangers franchise, starring in a total of ten series. He also reprised his character in the film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and did voice acting for the Power Rangers Dino Thunder and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid video games. Interestingly, Jason also played the red and black ranger roles in other versions of the series.

However, after more than 25 years with Power Rangers, Jason made a big career move in May by announcing his retirement from the franchise to move on with his other projects.
