AT&T will start taking pre-orders for the LG G Flex curved-screen smartphone starting Jan 24, a week before it goes on sale at Sprint stores. The smartphone can be pre-ordered either online or through an AT&T store, the company said.

LG G Flex has been priced at $299.99 with a two-year agreement. Customers can also opt for monthly payments with 12- or 18-month financing plans. In case of opting AT&T Next 12, customers will have to pay $34.75 per month and in case of AT&T Next 18, the carrier will charge $26.74 per month.

The device is expected to go on sale in AT&T stores starting Feb. 7.

Sprint was the first US wireless carrier to announce a launch date (January 31) for LG's curved and flexible handset LG G Flex.

The LG G Flex is one of the first two phones to sport a curved screen. The phone features a bendable 6-inch HD display that curves vertically from top downward, cutting down on glare that provides better "cinematic" viewing experience. The phone also features a back-panel that can heal itself from scratches and scuffs (check out the video below).

LG also markets its curved, flexible design as something that fits more easily in palm and against side of the face while talking. G Flex's 6-inch HD OLED curved display supports a resolution up to 1280X720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.26 GHz Qualcomm(R) Snapdragon(TM) 800 processor with quad-core Krait CPU.

The phone features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, the phone also comes along a Dual Window splits feature that allows you to split the screen into two separate applications. Like many other LG smartphones, G Flex has also an exclusive Knock feature that enables users to wake or turn off the display with two simple taps on the screen.

In a related development, LG has announced that G Flex will be hitting shelves in over twenty European markets next month that includes countries like United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Austria.
