The shipment will have 999 VF 8s, along with an all-electric crossover. The first set of vehicles are expected to be delivered to customers who have pre-ordered by the end of December. While some of their vehicles will be with a car subscription service, Autonomy.

High-Quality Standard Vehicles

The shipment of a thousand vehicles is proof that the automaker has produced high-quality electric vehicles that can compete in the international market.

In January, the second batch of EVs will arrive. Their lineup comes with their wing-shaped LED lighting VinFast signature and other details that make it look like a family-friendly vehicle.

Localizing Production

With this milestone, it puts VinFast closer to its plans to localize production in the US. The company aims to manufacture its EVs at a plant in North Carolina by 2024, which will also help them qualify for the US tax credit of $7,500 per vehicle.

However, the North Carolina factory is behind schedule. Moreover, the first shipment of EVs of 5,000 cars built in Haiphong by December was reduced to 999. It is said that the number 999 is lucky in Vietnam as well.

A Growing Market

The high potential of electric vehicles has attracted a number of companies from different parts of the world, including China, the US, and Europe. Nonetheless, it is still early days for the electric vehicle industry. The market is still immature and it is hard for electric vehicle manufacturers to find their place.

VinFast is one of the EV makers that are giving it a try, at a time when the company plans to consolidate their position in Vietnam, as well as in the global market. But with the growth of the market, they need to be on budget.

It is obvious now that they can deliver high-quality electric vehicles that are capable of competing with some of the premium electric vehicle brands. The brand's rise can be attributed to their parent company, Vingroup, which is one of the biggest conglomerates in Vietnam.

Electric Vehicle Adoption

Electric vehicles are now becoming more viable and affordable. The global EV sales have been increasing for years.

Superior quality of electric vehicles like the ones that are being produced by VinFast can help them gain a larger share of the growing electric vehicle market. While they are behind in their commitments, delivering high-quality electric vehicles can help them gain momentum. And while they try to catch up in their goals, they can keep delivering high-quality electric vehicles to the global market in the coming years.
