'Pokemon Scarlet & Violet' Spiritomb Location Guide: How to Increase Your Chances of Catching it

Spiritomb, the popular Ghost/Dark Pokemon from Generation 4, has finally landed on "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet." This ghostly purple ball is best known for its tankiness and high stalling capability, which often upsets those who abuse "sweepers."

If you already obtained the newest Pokemon mainline game, then you can now start your hunting with Spiritomb in Paldea. If you're still not sure where to go for its top spots, check this guide for more information.

Spiritomb Location: Where to Hunt it

According to Nintendo Life, there are two areas where you can get Spiritomb. Across the Spanish-themed region, you can see this rare Pokemon at Casseroya Lake and Glaseado Mountain.

Just for the heads up, you can easily catch this species at night. If you can't find any Spiritomb in the area, try to go to other places and get back to its usual spawn areas.

First Location

Spiritomb can appear in the southern part of the Glaseado Gym. You can go easily here if you have the glide ability from either Miraidon or Koraidon. Just go to the ruins and begin your journey to catch this eerie Pokemon.

Second Location

Pay attention to the northeast corner of Glaseado Mountain. Look at your surroundings until you see a river beside the green patch of grasses in the northern part of the region.

This location is quite tricky because of the cliffs on the mountainside, but if you can climb on this place, you're also close to getting the Tera Raid Crystal.

Third Location

The last spawn area of Spiritomb lies on the far west corner of the Glaseado Mountain Pokemon Center. From here, walk to the snowy part of the area where the Casseroya Lake region is located.

You will notice there's a Soccorat Trail once you traverse this particular piece of land. Make sure to reach the zenith of the mountain so you can see Spiritomb.

Increase the Spawn Rate of Spiritomb

Since Spiritomb is Ghost/Dark, then you will need a sandwich that can increase your chance of catching the said types. The guide says that you can use the following sandwiches for reference:

Classic Bocadillo
Ultra Decadent Sandwich
Great Tower Sandwich,
Ultra Tropical Sandwich
Great Hefty Sandwich
Ultra Hefty Sandwich

Make sure that they have one or two of the following abilities to hasten up your catching progress with this Pokemon.

Catching Power: Dark or Ghost
Encounter Power: Dark or Ghost

Is Spiritomb Good Competitively?

Dexerto previously reported that Spiritomb is very weak to one type: Fairy. It's the only weakness that will work with this Pokemon. Gardevoir or Sylveon can easily break this wall with no setbacks.

Refrain from using Fighting, Psychic, Normal, or Poison as these attacks won't do anything with Spiritomb unless it's just a status condition like Poisonpowder or Toxic.

So far, "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet" is yet to see what Spiritomb can offer in the competitive scene. It will take some time to discover a unique meta for this Pokemon.
