Honda is debuting a new breed of hybrid cars in 2024, centering on the 2024 Honda CR-V which will center on a hydrogen fuel cell for its engine paired with a battery for electric mobility. The focus of this new CR-V will center on the United States, a car dedicated to the company's ventures towards clean energy for the country and its car's availability to adhere to current requirements.

It gives users options regarding their vehicle's run, but it would focus on zero emissions for the vehicle, either way, using its fuel cell when its electric power runs. 

2024 Honda CR-V: Hydrogen, Battery Hybrid Coming Soon

Honda announced via a press release that it will deliver on its US production of hydrogen fuel cells. intended for its electric vehicles, and other clean energy ventures. The first car to receive these changes would be its 2024 Honda CR-V, one that would arrive as a hybrid, carrying two clean energy technology for its release.

The Japanese automotive company plans to develop this over at the Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Ohio, a place where it builds limited specialty vehicles like the Acura NSX.

The Honda CR-V coming soon is categorized as a hybrid, centering on the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), which will be its stepping stone towards its clean energy goals by 2024.

Zero-Emissions Hybrid, a First for Honda

The current 2023 Honda CR-V is still a gas-powered vehicle, with a hybrid option that introduces a battery and its electric powertrain that would soon change to a zero-emissions hybrid. In 2024, things would change for the CR-V and for Honda's entirety, one that would deliver FCEVs to its lineup, with the CR-V leading the charge.

Honda's Clean Energy Focus

Honda's clean energy ventures in the United States are starting to take shape with the multiple focus of the company, one that adheres to the country's transition to a carbon-free future. One of Honda's future releases centering on clean energy is its Prologue EV, focusing on a pure battery-powered vehicle coming soon for all to purchase. 

The Japanese automakers' plans for electrification are unfolding slowly, centering on its transition like other gas-powered car manufacturers in the industry.

Part of Honda's plans for the future is to also build its battery plants for its EVs, one where it would partner with LG Chem to establish a manufacturing facility. The Japanese automaker partnered with the South Korean company to establish its $4.4 billion plant in the United States, a feat that would secure it for its future electrification ventures. 

The current plans of Honda which it recently unveiled with its historic CR-V are coming soon in the future will center on a hybrid, but it is not the usual hybrid car that the world already knows. This hydrogen fuel cell and battery-powered vehicle integrate two zero-emission technology for vehicles, one that would suffice for the country's clean energy needs.
