Amazon Prime Video, which is also called Prime Video, is a subscription video-on-demand over-the-top streaming and rental service of Amazon offered as a standalone service or as part of Amazon's Prime subscription.

Prime Video Streaming Problems

You might experience buffering issues, sluggish loading times, or a video that won't play on Prime Video with error code 1060. According to Android Authority, network connectivity and bandwidth constraints typically cause this error code and related streaming issues.

Even though 1060 is the most frequent error code, you may also see 1007, 1022, 7031, 7135, 7202, 7203, 7204, 7206, 7207, 7230, 7250, 7251, 7301, 7303, 7305, 7306, 8020, 9003, and 9074 for streaming-related problems, the same report tells us.

You might be surprised to learn that several issues have simple solutions. Problems with bandwidth or internet connectivity may cause some error codes. 

For SD content, Amazon advises at least 1Mbps download speeds, 5Mbps for HD content, and 25Mbps for 4K UHD movies. It can also help to pause other Internet activity temporarily.

If you can connect to the Internet on other devices, update your connected device's DNS settings. You can also check with your device's manufacturer for further details. It can also help to deactivate any VPN or proxy servers.

Furthermore, suppose you encounter the problem codes listed above. In that case, Prime Video support recommends closing the Prime Video app on your device or your web browser if you are watching on your computer and restarting your computer or connected device.

It is also advised that you keep your device or web browser updated. Software updates might contain new or improved capabilities, improved interoperability with other devices or programs, and security fixes. They can also improve your software's stability and remove outdated functionality.

Next, ensure you're using a different account on numerous devices - users can only stream the same title to two devices simultaneously. It is also worth noting that Prime Video only supports three concurrent streams inside the same Amazon account and up to two simultaneous streams of the same video.

Support also advises us to use an HDMI cable compliant with HDCP 1.4 (for HD video) or HDCP 2.2 (for UHD or HDR content) when connecting any external device to your TV or display.
