I gave back my Tesla.
I bought the VW ev.
I love it.
I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model.— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) November 26, 2022
Milano Receives Backlash on Volkswagen EV
Not all are a fan of her move. Instead of receiving praise for her bold move against Musk and Tesla, her tweet was trolled. Some users brought up that her brand choice is a German car company with a dark past. In the same thread, Milano wrote that Twitter allows hate speech and white supremacy to proliferate. Many users replied to her, claiming that Volkswagen "was literally founded by Nazis and Hitler."
Here, Elon replied with a laughing emoji, adding more to the insult against the actress.
Elon Musk and Twitter
Despite the many contradictions from known celebrities and other users regarding handing the leadership and company ownership to Chief Twit back when the deal was initially starting, Twitter still pushed through with its intent to sell the company.
The Twitter drama includes the backing out of the billionaire to the deal. However, he soon pushed through with the purchasing.
There are mixed opinions in the Twitterverse regarding Musk's takeover of Twitter. Fans are supporting his new changes, while some found him incapable of running the famous social media platform.
Regardless of the many boycotts to the platform and prolific individuals making their stand against the Musk-led social media, Twitter 2.0 still saw an all-time high in its numbers and daily users. As per the Twitter CEO's report, many people still signed up for the experience, something he boasted of amongst the public.
A massive percentage of the public are still against the tech billionaire leading Twitter, pertaining to the many changes and additions to the platform that transformed how people use the short-word social media.
Alyssa Milano is expressing her thought about Musk's Twitter takeover, especially with her statement against Tesla. But not all are impressed with her announcement.
