Oppo has been busy making waves in the smartphone market as the company launched the Oppo Reno 9 series last month. Oppo is projected to cap off the year with two brand-new foldable phones.

Clue for the Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip is In the Upcoming Oppo Inno Day Event

According to the story by Giz China, at the core of these two beasts will be the Oppo Find N2 and the Oppo Find N2 Flip. According to the grapevine, the two phones will see the light of day on December 15.

Oppo hasn't confirmed the launch date of the two phones. So far, the only solid clue is the upcoming Oppo Inno Day event.

Oppo's Event to Take Place on December 14 and 15

According to previous events, the annual showcase is where Oppo shows off some of their most innovative tech and prototypes, like their rollable phone, the Oppo Find N, and a phone prototype featuring a main retractable camera and the MariSilicon X NPU. This year's event is slated to be two days on December 14 and 15.

The Oppo Find N2 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the Oppo Find N2 Flip will integrate a Dimensity 9000. Moreover, according to Ice Universe, the Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip will be the world's lightest foldable phones because of the lightweight material used in their construction.

Find N2 Camera Specs

The Find N2 will come with a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP ultrawide camera, and a 32 MP 2x telephoto snapper. The Flip version will have a simpler dual-camera setup. Both phones will incorporate Samsung E6 AMOLED displays, with the Find N2 having two.

While the Oppo Find N remains a Chinese market exclusive for the time being, hopefully, the new Oppo Find N2 and N2 Flip will reach more markets outside China. Regardless, the 15th of December should be an exciting day for all Oppo fans as there's bound to be some thrilling new technologies on display.

The New Phones are Expected to be 15% Lighter than Predecessors

Oppo is preparing to launch its second-generation foldable phone - the Find N2. According to the leakster Ice Universe, the phone will be 15% lighter than its predecessor and even lighter than some classic bar phones such as the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max or the latest 6D Ultimate.

The Find N2 is expected to weigh under 240 grams, significantly lighter than other horizontal foldable such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Hauwei Mate X2, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and the Vivo X Fold+. It is suspected that Oppo is using new materials to achieve the lighter weight, though there has yet to be a confirmation, further detailed in GSM Arena.

In addition to its lightweight, the Find N2 is expected to have a powerful camera setup consisting of a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 32MP 2x telephoto. This camera setup matches the upcoming OnePlus 11 flagship. The phone is also rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
