This photo taken on December 8, 2022 shows a Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) C919 aircraft, China's first domestically produced large passenger jet, before it is formally handed over to China Eastern Airlines in Shanghai.
This new airplane was shipped to CEA in Shanghai on Friday, Nov. 9.
After the passenger aircraft arrived, it took a 15-minute short flight from Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport.
The C919, with flight number MU919, took off at 11:40 a.m. and landed at its final destination at 12:02 p.m.
The short flight of C919 marked a milestone in China's aviation ambitions.

According to South China Morning Post's latest report, China Easter Airlines is the first one to receive the new C919 passenger plane.

It was designed by COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) to be the new competitor of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
Because the new airplane is such a big deal for China's aviation industry, a Shanghai Pudong International Airport ceremony was held.
During this event, the C919 received some certifications, such as the "airworthiness certificate."
Before C919 can become operational, it needs to undergo over 100 hours of the test flight.
Once this is completed, it will receive a confirmation of its support capabilities, operational safety, and maintenance reliability.
C919's Features
Aerospace Technology reported that the new China-made C919 is a narrow-body aircraft with a seating capacity of between 168 and 190 passengers.
Two CFM International LEAP 1C engines power this passenger airplane; both have a thrust power of between 25,000lb and 30,000lb.
When it comes to speed, the C919 aircraft can reach up to Mach 0.78, which is almost as fast as the speed of sound.
This Chinese passenger jet also has a maximum altitude of 12,100m and can range between 4,075 km to 5,555km.
