WhatsApp has added the Disappearing Messages feature as part of its privacy improvement for users. The said feature will allow users to see the chat before it disappears entirely after a week. Later, the company decided to improve it by shortening the interval to 24 hours or 90 days.

However, the reliable WhatsApp reporter WABetaInfo says that the team is currently developing an upgraded version of the previously mentioned feature. Through "view once," the people in the chat can see the message only once before it gets deleted.

WhatsApp is currently working on a feature that will allow the sender and the receiver to see the message once before it disappears.

According to the latest report by Mashable, WhatsApp users should expect that the "view once" feature will be available soon on Android devices.

The source reveals that the upcoming feature will come as part of the 2.22.25.20 beta version. WhatsApp says that if you ever attempt to share the message with anyone, it won't work. This also means that you cannot forward it either.

At first, WhatsApp only planned to roll it out for the clips and images on the platform. This time, it already extended the feature to chats on the app.

The "view-once" feature is ideal for those who want to value their privacy since the recipient won't be able to screenshot the image once he/she receives it from the other end.

Previously, the view-once worked in photos and videos by clicking the "1" icon right beside the caption prompt. However, according to the report, WhatsApp will be using a dedicated "send" button that a padlock icon will accompany.

Since this feature is still in the beta phase, the design is still subject to change. WhatsApp has not yet announced the official release of the "view once" to the public at the time.

WhatsApp 3D Avatars

Last week, Meta announced that users can now use 3D avatars as their profile pictures or custom stickers. The said feature has first entered the other owned platforms of the company including Facebook and Instagram, per Techcrunch.

In a statement on FB, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that after some months of beta testing of the avatars, they were finally coming on WhatsApp this month.

"Your avatar is a digital version of you that can be created from billions of combinations of diverse hairstyles, facial features, and outfits," the company said about the feature.

If you want to get started on WhatsApp 3D avatars, you need to head to the Settings of your menu. From there, you will see a "Use Avatar" option on the platform. The avatar resembles what you look like in your profile picture, so make sure that the system's current display photo appears neat and readable.

At the time, users won't be able to use their own avatar system of, WhatsApp on other social media sites. This means that creating your avatar on WhatsApp implies that this is the only platform where you can use it.
